About Heather...

Born on an Army base in Germany, Heather began her life as an Army brat in the 1980s. Her family bounced around the east coast before settling in North Carolina and then Virginia. She graduated from George Mason University with an undergraduate degree in English, a concentration in Nonfiction Writing and Editing, and a Business minor. Heather became a technical writer and editor upon graduating and went on to obtain a master's degree in Publishing.

Heather has always been creative: journaling as a child through college, painting, and photography. She loves viewing the world through unique and artistic ways, and those views translate naturally into her writing.

Her debut novel, Our Journey Is Our Own, delves into the social issue of domestic violence, but from the perspective of the children. Heather's fascination with personal relationships is exemplified in the complex and intertwining arcs in the story that follows the brother and sister duo: Bailey and Kat.

Coming in 2025, she hopes to release her second novel, A Touch of Hope, which explores a young couple dealing with infertility and growing pressures to expand their family.

Heather also owns a freelance editing business. Her love of the written word surpasses her own work, and she enjoys working with authors at all stages of their writing careers of all genres.
